We are excited to announce that we will be playing Saturday April 6th on the outdoor stage at 5pm right after Hearts of Darkness and before The Beautiful Bodies at this year’s Middle of the Map Festival in Kansas City. AND! our original drummer Pete LaPorte will be flying in from San Francisco to join us. It’s been way too long and we are truly excited. http://www.middleofthemapfest.com/
So our fearless leader William Smith is heading off on an adventure to the new city of York in search of a new career and Roman Numerals will be hunkering down into a hibernation of sorts. We still have some unrecorded material we’d like to release at some point but for the time being it is all in the woodshed. That said, as a send off we’d like to share with you a new video our friend Jonathan Douglas Duran made for the last track we recorded w/ Chris Cosgrove–MAXED OUT. Check it out here
and enjoy. Hope to see you next year.
Hey all, our next scheduled performance is Sept. 14th, 2pm at The K (Royals Stadium) for the INK concert series. In the meantime we are looking for a date or two to play in the MidWest before Oct. 1st.
This coming Friday June 24th, Roman Numerals will be playing a rare ALL-AGES show in Liberty, MO at the Retro Bowl. 8pm sharp. Then Steve and Billy will skeedaddle back to KC to perform w/ Thee Water MoccaSins at Crosstown Station. We love to play!
We put it off for months and then Steve went on vacation. Here we are just a few days away from the 2nd Bands Uncovered event at Crosstown Station. We’ve been employed to learn 4 Rumblejetts and one Pendergast song. Now, taking on rock-a-billy and Americana roots rock is not something we do very often: I mean ever but so far the 3 we have done are sounding pretty nice. Think Raveonettes meets Gang of Four meets Devo meets, well, Roman Numerals. Hopefully we get the next two done before the show. Really looking forward to hearing The Columns take on out songs. See you Friday May 27 9pm Press: Upstairs at Crosstown Station w/ Cherokee Rock Rifle, The Columns, The Rumblejetts and Dollar Fox.
So we’ve been asked back to play the next installment of the Rock N Fashion Show at Crosstown Station. This time, not only do we get to share the stage with all the beautiful models, we get play with our good friends in Beautiful Bodies and Audiovox. Always a do not miss event.
Thanks to everyone that came out to see us on the trip south to Austin for the MidCoast Takeover. What an amazing good time. So awesome to get to hang with so many KC bands while down there, not to mention, getting to see Baby Teardrops 4 days in a row. Cheers to new friends!
Anyway, next up we will be playing at the Middle of the Map Festival at recordBar on April 8th w/ our good buddies El Ten Eleven. This festival is going to be over the top and a very welcome addition to the KC musical map. Get tickets here for the two day festival.
After that, some road shows. Check the flyer.
See you then and there.
